William Byron Webster married his passion for creating meaningful music to his love for signature historic events that forever changed the course of the humanity in a positive direction. The American Genesis collection of operatic compositions, while incomplete, recognizes and presents in music some of the outstanding figures that played a critical role in the great historical event that was the American Revolution — figures like George Washington and Patrick Henry. His music also recognizes the role of the French in the formation of America. All of this collection reflects Webster’s belief in democracy and dedication to the idea of a better world for all people.
